The Maine Road Art Programme – Community Engagement

Meaningful engagement with project stakeholders is central to the Maine Road Public Art Programme. Through our on-going participatory arts programme, which aims to reveal and celebrate local character, residents of all ages work in collaboration with professional artists on the development of temporary and permanent artworks for Maine Road.

The Divine Mercy School RC Primary School and one of our key project partners, is always keen to maximise the learning opportunities intrinsic in each commission. The Divine Mercy RC Primary School along with Claremont Primary School and Manchester Academy are valued partners. We are currently developing projects which will involve residents who have recently moved into new properties within The Maine Place development as well as existing residents from the surrounding neighbourhood. We greatly value the support and partnership of existing community organisations in the area.
