In September 2009 St Edwards and Bishop Bilsborrow RC Primary Schools merged to become The Divine Mercy RC Primary School. This new contemporary building at the heart of the Maine Road Regeneration area was one of the first sites to benefit from the provision of a piece of site-specific public art.
As part of the Maine Road public art programme, glass artist Martin Donlin was commissioned to design a bespoke architectural glass window for entrance of the new school. Martin worked with pupils, parents and staff from both schools during the development of his design concepts. Link to Community Engagement page

School Logo Design
In response to their positive experience of working with artists and designers The Divine Mercy RC Primary School and the South Manchester Regeneration Team commissioned a new school Logo and brand design by Manchester based designer Paula Taras of Tyme Design. Paula worked with pupils from the school to develop her design, which was inspired by Martin Donlin’s glass window design. Link to Community Engagement page
